They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but we also think a picture is worth about 45 to 60 minutes of your time! With our virtual retainer checks, we can save you a trip to the office and check the fit of your retainers from the comfort of your home!
All it takes is sending us a few photos and answering a few questions. Once Dr. Wing has reviewed your photos, a clinical specialist will respond to you and provide feedback regarding your retainers.
If you feel your retainer is not fitting properly, or would prefer to be seen in person for your retainer check visit, please contact the office to schedule an appointment.

- How many hours per day are you wearing your retainer(s)?
- Does your retainer feel “tight” on your teeth longer than a few minutes after first putting it in?
- Do you have any questions about your retainer(s)?
Below are examples of the photos required to complete your virtual retainer check. For best results, use two spoons to pull your cheeks away from your teeth. If possible, have someone help you take these photos while you pull your cheeks and lips away from your teeth. You may also use your fingers — just make sure to wash your hands first! And remember that good lighting really helps!
